Star Poistion is an Android app to track your loved contacts locations, in case you are authrorized by them. The app functions via SMS messaging and without internet.
Star Position provides 2 tracking functionalities:
On Demand Location Retierval
- The user can request one of its contacts location.
- The app sends to the requested contact an SMS asking for its location.
- Upon receiving the message, the requested contact checks whether the requester is authorized.
- If authorized it sends back an SMS with location infomation, if not authorized it ignores the request.
- Once the requester received back the location information message, it updates the requested contact location on the map.
Periodic Location Synchronization
- The user can set a contact as a tracking contact.
- The user can set an interval of sending location to the tracking contacts.
- The app sends its device location periodically to all tracking contacts via SMS messages.
